Courtyard by Marriott Sacramento Airport Natomas

We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great experience. Rooms were updated, clean and good size for the price - bed and pillow was comfortable. Wouldn’t recommend having someone stay on the pull out couch and would opt for a two bed instead. Staff was friendly and professional. The onsite Bistro meets your basic needs for the morning. The pool was nice - definitely wish there was a hot tub but we just weren’t lucky in terms of weather. Parking is $10/day which was the same as the other Marriott we had stayed at this weekend. It’s an annoying fee given the mostly empty parking lot but was happy to have a place close to downtown to leave vehicle. Location is great - less than a 10 minute drive/Uber to downtown. It’s a quiet out of the way location. Felt safe and was easy to get bearings for us Canadians. Overall this hotel does the job and would recommend for folks looking for a nice stay that doesn’t break the bank.

I was disappointed at the quality of rooms and they had upped the price from 250 to 650 per night for a single king just because there was a music festival in town. I can understand a modest increase but that was ridiculous. They also tried to charge me for an extra day and reversed it only after I had caught it. The pool has no hot tub and was not cleaned during our stay. The weight room is modest at best. I have stayed at other Courtyards but this one needs a facelift in more ways than one.

I would not recommend this hotel at all. There is nothing nearby. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant. The Starbucks is terrible and the few breakfast options they do have are not good at all. When I got to the room, there were dirty towels on the couch. Shower towels are so cheap and the water does no drain properly. Parking is also an additional 10 dollars per day and it’s not even a covered garage.

Don’t go here unless you want your cars broken into/stolen. We had a group of us stay coming through. Truck was broken into and $7,000 worth of gear was stolen. Van hitched to a trailer was broken into and both were stolen. The “security guard” they have was clueless to the entire situation. Apart from that checking in was a hassle, and the homeless camp makes it feel very unsafe.
